The Mount Holyoke Environment

Mount Holyoke College is located in South Hadley, Massachusetts and so is subject to fickle New England weather. The variety of weather and temperatures mean that the school must heat (and cool some) buildings and be ready to deal with both lush grass and heavy snow. Both these tasks, and the daily tasks of feeding and housing students influence Mount Holyoke's campus environment and environmental footprint.
